LAST RAKU FIRING

It was one of those big ones that needs two to pull it out of the kiln...
After reaching raku temperature the piece is taken red hot from the kiln and smoked for 20 minutes

Recent Raku

These are hand built pots, 18" tall, Raku fired. Fired first in an electric kiln, one at a time. I pull it red hot from the kiln and smoke it with papers and grass to create the black clay and luster glazes.
